Well after hammering the cards it was time to hit the parks again. With our days remaining starting to run out it is time to ramp things up...
So this morning we headed off to Universal and started with Islands of Adventure. We headed straight for Harry Potter World. The queue for the Forbidden Journey was stating a wait time of 110 minutes. So after queuing for a while we decided to go for the single rider queue.
We couldn't believe our good luck when we were on the ride within 5 minutes. So to prove it wasn't a fluke we went again - this time was down to 2 minutes. We have to admit to chuckling to ourselves as we reflected on this.
We then tackled the Dragon Ride, choosing to ride the Chinese offering - another great ride. After a quick ButterBeer we headed to Jurassic Park to ride the River Adventure, which was great fun. We didn't get very wet, which was just as well as we wanted to get something to eat.
We will bring our ponchos for the other water rides as you get absolutely drenched.
We had lunch at the NBA restaurant next to the Hard Rock - another great burger but not one to challenge Tony Romas, who still holds top spot.
After lunch we headed to Universal Studios, where we started with Shrek 4D which was really enjoyable - if we have time we will definitely do this again. Next up was the Mummy, again as single riders, which meant we could ride it twice in 20 minutes. Still one of the family favorites.
Then it was off to the Simpsons Ride, keep an eye out for our blog on best rides, parks and restaurants. We still have a few to check out....
Managed to squeeze in Terminator 2 3D - reminded me that a fair few of these rides mean very little to the girls as they haven't seen the films but can still enjoy the rides.
That left enough time for Miss B and Miss H to ride the Rockit before heading back for the shuttle and cooling down at the apartment.
Just time for a few slices of pizza and then off to bed. An early start tomorrow....
If only we could buy some new feet as the holiday is starting to take its toll....
