So it's Thursday and we had decided to go to Animal Kingdom. The shuttle was full by the time we left the apartment. This was good and bad. The bad first - we had to stand.... The good - we didn't make any other stops en route.
Today had to be the hottest so far, the temperature must have been close to the ton - no shade and relentless heat....
We started off with the Kilimanjaro Safari which was fabulous - we all took loads of photos so will need to see how they look when we get home.
We got FastPass tickets for the Kali River Rapids and bypassed an 80 minute queue walking all the way to the front, receiving really unfriendly looks from the queuing masses. Nothing was stopping them doing the same... Was absolutely drenched - might have as well just jumped into the water....
All bar Mrs J went in search of the Yeti. The wait time was 70 minutes so we decided to opt for the single rider queue. The result was that we were back after 10 minutes to catch Mrs J with a sneaky Margerita.
We decided to do the Yeti twice more, again as single riders. The result being 3 rides in 28 minutes. It was hilarious to watch people stuck in the queue while we rode the attraction.
Anyway the ride is amazing and keep your eyes out for a future post on our favorite parks, rides and places to eat..
We were passing the theatre when they announced that there were still seats in 4 minutes time for the Nemo show which we all agreed was fantastic.
Next up was a visit to the Rainforest Cafe. The food was excellent and the experience added to the enjoyment. Bought a few things in the store before continuing to explore the park.
A few more rides and it was time to head back to Epcot for the shuttle.
Once back at the apartment we had the mother of all storms with hail that forced the girls to clear the pool.
Have decided the plan for tomorrow but as always, you will need to check back.
